Сравнительно недавно Medicaid стал перекидвать пациентов с обычного Медикейд на Family Planning Medicaid. Пациентам об этом не сообщают (со слов пациентов). Разница в том, что этот план покрывает только Birth Control визиты. Если пациент просто приходит, например, для PAP, то страховка этого не покроет. У практически всех штатов этот план похож. У Нью-Йорка расписано неплохо что можно, а что нельзя.

Family Planning Services include:

Т.е. если вам нужен PAP, то идете к врачу, говорите, что хотите проконсультироваться про методы предохранения, например, а заодно и сделать ПАП. Иначе, врач не будет посылать счет Медикейду, а спросит эту сумму с вас.
