Немного безлико звучит найденная статья. Если я еду со стороны Колорадо, то и останавливаться наверное надо с той же стороны (то есть East yellowstone)? Или можно проехать весь парк и найти гостиницу уже по другую сторону (Монтана и тд)? Смотрю, рекомендуют резервировать в это время года. Если останавливаться в гостинице outside the park gate, очень ли далеко потом ехать? Немного сложно оценить расстояние.
RV у нас нет. Есть палатка, но я смотрю, что т-ра но ночам не сильно выше нуля, боюсь замерзнуть (со мной ребенок) :) Был ли у кого-нибудь опыт ночевок в палатке? Как там с дикими зверьми? Сколько дней оптимально там провести? Где кушали? ИНтересуют бюджетные опции, если такое возможно в это время года.
Буду признательна любым советам по поводу того где остановиться.

Campgrounds and RV Parks in Yellowstone National Park
More than a dozen campgrounds with tent sites and RV parking are available within the park. The cheapest sites are operated directly by the park and offer access to pit toilets rather than flush toilets. Xanterra Parks and Resorts runs several campgrounds within the park’s borders that are slightly more expensive; all have access to flush toilets and showers. Xanterra’s cheapest cabins are Budget Cabins and Roughrider Cabins; both cabin types have access to communal bathrooms. For slightly more money, you can book a Frontier Cabin or Pioneer Cabin with private bathroom.

Lodging in Gardiner, Montana
At the gateway of Yellowstone’s North Entrance, Gardiner has hundreds of options for lodging. The cheapest places to stay include bed and breakfasts, motels and private cabin rentals. Gardiner Guest House Bed and Breakfast has two smaller budget rooms; rates include full breakfast. Also check out Diamond Heart Guest Ranch and Paradise Getaway, a four-room bed and breakfast where rates include WiFi and full gourmet breakfast.

Area motels catering to budget travelers include Absaroka Lodge and Yellowstone River Motel. One- and two-bedroom cottages with air conditioning and kitchens are available from Hillcrest Cottages.

Lodging in West Yellowstone, Montana
Located near the park’s West Entrance, West Yellowstone also has several budget lodging options. For RV parks and campgrounds, check out Yellowstone Cabins & RV Park, Madison Arm Resort Campground, Hide Away RV Park and Kirkwood Resort & Marina. Cabins and bed-and-breakfasts in West Yellowstone tend to be on the pricier side, but there is a hostel with cheap beds at the Historic Madison Hotel. Motels in the budget range include Alpine Motel, One Horse Motel and Westward Ho Motel.

Lodging in East Yellowstone and Wapiti Valley, Wyoming
The closet Wyoming community to one of the park’s entrances, East Yellowstone is between the park’s east entrance and the historic town of Cody. Most lodging options here are bed and breakfasts, ranches, lodges, cabins and RV parks. Yellowstone Valley Inn offers tent sites, RV sites and hotel rooms, and Green Creek Inn & RV Park has motel rooms and RV sites – all of which have free WiFi Access. Cabins with kitchenettes are available for nightly and weekly rates at Red Pole Ranch, and Absaroka Mountain Lodge offers one of the cheapest cabins in town with its #18 cabin (no plumbing).

Lodging in Silver Gate and Cooke City, Montana
If you want to stay near the park’s northeast entrance, the closest communities are Silver Gate and Cooke City. Budget options here include privately owned cabins, campgrounds, lodges, RV parks and motels. Antlers Lodge has 20 log cabins, and Buns n’ Beds restaurant has 3 log cabins, one of which has a kitchenette. Elk Horn Lodge has cabins with kitchenettes as well as less expensive lodge rooms. Single, double and triple rooms at affordable prices can be found at Grizzly Lodge.

Area motels include Super 8 Motel Cooke City and High Country Motel. RV parking, tent sites and cabins can be rented at Painter Outpost, and Log Cabin Cafe offers log cabin rates that include breakfast for two.

Альтея, мы ехали из Колорадо, у нас получился южный Yellowstone. С этой стороны как бы один национальный парк (Grand Teton) сразу переходит в Yellowstone. Мы жили в отеле, но очень впечатлил Colter Bay Campground (это Grand Teton National Park) - там есть все - и здание с душем, и стиралки, и продуктовый магазинчик. До Yellowstone примерно полчаса езды будет. Дикая природа там, судя по всему, весьма дикая Мы встречались только с бизонами и антилопами, но, похоже, что медведи в той местности частые гости. Сколько времени там провести оптимально - насколько у вас хватит возможности. Мне показалось, что там и недели будет мало. Очень понравилось, двух дней совершенно не хватило (при том, что выезжали в 6 утра и возвращались в 9 вечера)

А кушали что в период с 6 утра до 9 вечера? Там на территории самого парка рестораны или что?

Мы были 4 июля - сезон выше некуда Но мы жили в отеле в Jackson Hole - это городок, там и рестораны, и магазины. Отель бронировали за месяц, до парка приходилось ехать 2 часа. На территории парка есть "перекусиловки", но там народу тьма. Если планируете бюджетный отдых, готовить придется самой, консервы и прочее. Нас было двое взрослых, запросто обходились "подножным кормом" - крекеры, чипсы, сэндвичи, фрукты-овощи. Вы собираетесь с ребенком, вопрос питания придется продумать
